Professional Background:
Greg cut his sales and marketing teeth in the competitive world of Wall Street. As the Managing Director of W.R Hambrecht’s Corporate Services division he managed the firm’s most important investment banking relationships. He was also a Partner of Volpe Brown Whelan’s boutique investment bank which was acquired by Prudential Securities. Prior to Volpe, Greg co-managed a global equity sales division for Union Bank of Switzerland and held a senior sales position at Robertson Stephens & Co. During his investment banking career he worked on many of the most successful IPO’s and secondary offerings of all time. He was best known as a global strategic expert in executing “liquidation strategies” and “repurchase” programs for management teams, strategic partners, venture capitalists and angel investors. Greg managed and executed thousands of multi-million dollar transactions totaling in the tens of billions of dollars. His “deal making” experience is extremely valuable and directly transferable to the real estate world where he has been active since 1999.
Other:
Greg is an active advisor to management teams of public, private and not-for profit organizations. Currently he sits on the Board of a privately held entertainment company, remains an active financial advisor to a private foundation focusing on talented young musicians, and serves on the Board of Directors of Marin Country Club, currently as Treasurer. Greg and his wife, Claudia, live in Larkspur with their 2 sons who attend St. Patrick’s School.
