Halloween. The holiday that launches a month-long excuse to enjoy sweet treats, spooky stories, and the chance to dress up in wild and creative ways. Those in the North Bay also get to choose from what seems to be an endless list of celebrations for all ages: there are fairs and fests and magic shows, a goblin jamboree, plays and performances, haunted houses, a graveyard stroll and night hikes, music programs and dance parties, a cooking class (who doesn’t want to learn to make candy corn?!) and of course, the traditional parades of costumed munchkins and pets alike.

Add to these the lively spirits of our residents who take great care to make sure their homes and neighborhoods provide an enchanting backdrop for their trick-or-treaters. Sleepy Hollow (San Anselmo), Sycamore Park (Mill Valley), Mariner Cove (Corte Madera), Marinwood and the Forbes area of San Rafael – these and other close-knit communities are what give the North Bay its charm and appeal.
