Last week was a long time ago. Many life events: I danced the night away with Elanna, age 5 advancing on the savoir faire of a 25 year old, as we greeted everyone “Dobryj Vyechyer! Dobryj Vyechyer!” at the Family Services Agency Russian fundraiser at the Grey’s palace around the corner from me. The dazzling Lori Eicher, in boots and a burgundy (I’m a guy, help me here) uh, um outfit, lovely blond locks spilling out from under her hat (?) ah ha, bonnet, booked the dancers and musicians. Many real estate agents were present, yours truly included, but only two who live in Ross – Isobel, on the Upper side of Upper road and … shameless plug, moi … two country blocks away from Lagunitas Road.

Yes, it was a week end sprinkled with, ‘Hello, Mary, happy new year … dinner for 27 …. Hi David, I need some advice here.’ Thank you, David and Mary. The Rabbs are the best. A time sprinkled, heavily, with real estate contracts, meetings and sales. And there was Holly Aurell finishing her second week of Rosen work in my studio and Meddie (Hersmerjildof Arismende) buying tickets to come here shortly.

Quiz: In the photo it is clear I wanted to go play with

a. the dancers
b. the $2M train set under the dressing cottage
c. Lori,
d. ahem!

but instead I had a blast as Elanna’s helper. “Dobryj Vyechyer! Dobryj Vyechyer!” I said for one and a half solid hours. 300 great people, including Sandra Lew, CEO of Hospice by the Bay, supporting a great cause.

This week end began with a Friday evening snack with (I’m not ready to say who … she and I are both saying, ‘but I don’t have the time for a relationship’ … and I find myself thinking 24/2, maybe, then backing away and laughing at myself … but hint: she’s intertwined bright pink, platinum and gold metallic ribbons come alive and 100% Yin.) ‘she was happy and knew she was happy’

This was followed by a little gardening (in Berkeley, home in Ross and then Stinson Beach .. the latter to trim some hedges and meet the newest possible buyer of that ‘why hasn’t it sold yet?’ cottage … owned by multiple best seller, story teller, soon to be Dr. Terry Pearce, who just re-launched his new Cross Cultural Inspiration website …

Scratch your head here: A detached cottage with hot tub, west side of Hwy 1, at Stinson Beach for low-$400s … UNHEARD OFHISTORIC

Feng Shui’ed by Finola FitzClarence (the following day three parties, wives with their fun-killers, ‘So what’s wrong with it?’ I get asked … Nothing, I’ve said, ‘think of it: a detached cottage with hot tub, west side of Hwy 1, beautiful amenities, parking, etc., at Stinson Beach for low-$400s>!?$#it I reckon that what’s wrong with it is the MEN. Yep, 21Calledelpinos.com is busily building regrets and fracturing marriages (did I say romatic sunsets? … hey, 100 yin … you’ve been enjoying the roses from my garden, how about the next novel party/book exchange at 21 Calle del Pinos on Friday, October 9 … books followed by a long walk on a nearly human-empty, maybe full moon lit beach, tea twice in bed before strolling to breakfast at Parkside?(assuming Terry doesn’t appropriate the idea)

It would have sold to any of these three enchanting women (married to nice enough guys), women who’ll soon read Men-In-Their-Prime for partner-growing ‘come alive, don’t be a taciturn toad’ visualizations, visualizations that’ll fill many lives with romance … what do you say to tea in bed to the clatter of surf, barking of seals, caw of seagulls … quack ducks, kill-deer cries of kill-deers and flutter of floating pelicans … balanced with, sometimes, Mozart? No car, no worries, no need to drive anywhere.

Yes, there’s a book pulling itself together, I’m busily writing with award-winning writer, novelist Marianne Rogoff and we’re in our third edit by our amazing editor, Alan Rinzler (Josie-Bass, Rolling Stone, Toni Morrison, Hunter B Thompson …). A similar level of soul satisfying work was the Hospice-by-the-Bay Camp Erin bereavement camp for kids.

Ou la la, I love my life.

‘He was happy and he knew he was happy.’
